What do you do here?

I work as the lead manager for our team as well as leading our business development. This means that I’m the main contact for our clients and I’m the one who will go out and look at the venue for a client and determine exactly how Edge can best create what they want to see.

Why do you love your job?

Production work is incredibly dynamic. It’s always changing and is never the same from day to day.

Why are you interested in event production?

Producing the perfect event is always a challenge, but it is a challenge that requires tremendous creativity.

What are some unique skills you have?

My greatest strength is my people skills. Aside from that, I’m also a commercial pilot and have flown both for commercial airlines and for the U.S. State Department.

What is your favorite way to spend your free time?

Riding my motorcycle in Colorado’s beautiful mountains and relaxing on the farm.

I am a production manager. I oversee the details of the production; as well as build truss structures, set, and operate equipment.

What do you do here?

I help manage and coordinate our traveling teams. I travel to a different city each weekend, help assess the needs of the event and work to manage the local crews to unload and set up lighting and sound equipment. During the event you can usually find me at the main stage or behind the scenes making sure everything is running smoothly.

What is your background in event production?

I started out doing technical theatre in early high school, working on the lights, set and sound for the productions at my school. In college I continued to participate in theatre, often as a scenic designer. I learned the carpentry and welding involved in building the sets and decided that I would expand my education to include architecture. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2012 with a Bachelor of Environmental Design, emphasis in Architecture.

What are some unique skills you have?

Since I have experience in carpentry, lighting and sound tech, climbing, rigging and construction, I have a lot of really strange skills.

I can make a tool out of just about anything. And I can fix things with a little ingenuity. For example, the handle on my can opener broke, so I replaced it with a pair of vice grips. I’ve also put a whisk in a drill before to make whipped cream. It worked great!

I am also just not really ever afraid of heights.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I like to spend as much of my time as possible being outside. I am a rock climber and I also enjoy hiking and camping. Colorado is a really beautiful place and I don’t take that for granted.
